How to Install and Use FileLinked on FireStick
>
In this guide, I will show you how to install and use FileLinked on FireStick. I will also provide the instructions to sign up for the FileLinked service and download the files using this app. The same guide will work for all Fire TV versions including Fire TV Cube and Fire Stick 4K.
FileLinked was formerly known as DroidAdmin. It is a file-sharing app, which also doubles as an excellent side-loading tool for FireStick and other Android devices. FileLinked can be used to share all sorts of files including videos, photos, music, APK files and more. You can be the file uploader, file user or even both.
For instance, if you are out on a vacation and wish to privately share your photos, you can upload the files, create a code and share the code with your friends or family. Those who have your code can install the FileLinked app on their Android device, enter the code and access or download the files.
If you are looking to sideload apps onto your FireStick device, FileLinked could come very handy. All you need to do is obtain the codes from the uploader and enter it in your FileLinked app. On the other hand, if you are an uploader (like me) you can share the code with your users (like you) and give them the opportunity to easily download the files.
Whether you are an uploader or user, you will find all the information and instructions in this guide to get started with FileLinked. Keep reading!
Attention FireStick Users: Read before you continue
Governments and ISPs across the world monitor their users’ online activities. If found streaming copyrighted content on your Fire TV Stick, you could get into serious trouble. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. I strongly recommend you to get a good FireStick VPN and hide your identity so that your movie viewing experience doesn’t take a bad turn.
I use ExpressVPN which is the fastest and most secure VPN in the industry. It is very easy to install on any device including Amazon Fire TV Stick. Also, it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you don’t like their service, you can always ask for a refund. ExpressVPN also has a special deal where you can get 3 months free and save 49% on annual plan.
Here are the reasons why you must use a VPN all the time.
How to Install FileLinked on FireStick
There are two apps I recommend you use to install any third-party apps on FireStick:
- Downloader
- ES File Explorer
Both these apps are available on the Amazon Store and it takes only minutes to install them on FireStick. I am going to show the installation process using both the apps one by one. You can pick any one of the two you like.
However, before you get started, here is one little thing you need to take care of to allow installation of third-party apps on FireStick:
- Click Settings from the home-screen of FireStick
- Now click Device or MyFireTV (depending upon the device you are using)
- Next, select Developer Options
- If Apps from Unknown Sources is OFF, click it and turn it ON
- Click Turn On to confirm your intent
Your FireStick or Fire TV device is all set to install FileLinked app.

Install FileLinked on FireStick Using ES File Explorer
: This is just an alternate method. You don’t need to follow the steps if you have already downloaded Filelinked via the Downloader app. Also, ES File Explorer now costs $9.99 if you want to use its sideloading feature.
ES File Explorer is another app widely used to sideload apps on FireStick and other Android devices. But, ES Explorer is not just a sideloader. It is also an incredible File Manager.
Go ahead and install ES File Explorer from the Amazon Store (by selecting the search option on the FireStick home-screen and typing in the name of the app).
Once that’s done, follow the steps below to install FileLinked on FireStick using ES File Explorer:
1. Launch the ES File Explorer app
2. On the right side of the home-screen of ES File Explorer, where you see a bunch of icons, scroll down and click Downloader

8. Again, click Install when the following screen appears
9. Wait for the FileLinked app to install on FireStick. App Installed notification appears when it is done

This is how you install FileLinked on FireStick using ES File Explorer app.
Note: I recommend deleting the FileLinked APK when the app is installed. This will save you some space. Click the Local dropdown on the left of ES File Explorer and then click Home (the second one on the dropdown list). Now go to the right and open the Download folder. You will find the APK file here. Delete it.
